Care Instructions

Quality linen is an investment that can last lifetimes, not just a season.

Your linen can be a family heirloom to be passed down from one generation to the next. There are no fancy tricks to keeping your linen looking good – just good old-fashioned care.

General linen care

  • Please follow the specified washing instructions for each collection.
  • Wash linen colourways separately, especially on the first wash.
  • Do not bleach, dry clean or use any harsh detergents.
  • Do not place washing powder directly onto the linen.
  • Linen prefers to dry on the washing line, not in the tumble dryer. Never tumble dry fine hemstitched linens.
  • Full sunlight will help keep whites sparkling bright but will fade darker colours. Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods on darker shades of linen to protect the natural fibres from sun bleaching.
  • Do not leave wet sheets to dry on wood as this can lead to stains.

Ironing

  • The Occasion Collection lends itself to being ironed for a crisp pressed look.
  • The Everyday Collection and Country Collection can be ironed or left to dry naturally for a relaxed, more informal look.
  • If you do decide to press your linens, hot iron while they’re slightly damp for best results.

Storage

  • The best way to store your linen is to hang it in a wardrobe – over a cardboard roll over a wire or plastic hanger. The linen will be less creased and ready to use next time you have an occasion.

The Occasion Collection

  • The Occasion Collection in Natural Rye can be machine washed at a maximum water temperature of 40°C.
  • The Occasion Collection in Candlestick White can be machine washed at a maximum water temperature of 60°C.
  • Machine spin at a maximum of 600 rpm.
  • Never tumble dry.
  • As with most natural fibres, a small amount of shrinkage can be expected with the first wash.
  • Hot iron when slightly damp for best results.

The Everyday Collection

  • The Everyday Collection can be machine washed at a maximum water temperature of 40°C.
  • Machine spin at a maximum of 600 rpm.
  • As with most natural fibres, a small amount of shrinkage can be expected with the first wash.
  • Hot iron when slightly damp or leave naturally creased for a relaxed look.

The Country Collection

  • The Country Collection can be machine washed at a maximum water temperature of 40°C.
  • Machine spin at a maximum of 600 rpm.
  • As with most natural fibres, a small amount of shrinkage can be expected with the first wash.
  • Hot iron when slightly damp or leave naturally creased for a relaxed look.
