These exceptionally beautiful birds with their plumage of turquoise, lilac, pink and blue, are found in the north of South Africa. They are frequently seen by the embroiderers at Mogalakwena Craft Art studio in northern Limpopo who carefully crafted this hand-embroidered design.

Care instructions

When looked after, quality linen lasts a lifetime, not just a season

  • Embroidered items should be hand-washed only.
  • Embroidered items can be ironed, but it’s done gently with a hot, dry iron (without steam) on the back of the fabric. Place face-down on a padded surface to give the stitches extra protection.
